This weeks video was so informative. There was so much useful ideas that we can use in the classroom. The survey is a great tool to find out about the information that our students have learn by quickly asking simple questions. Maybe for a Social Studies report they can conduct a survey and find out what the students would like to change in their classroom or on the campus. Also they can conduct a survey about the what the students would like to have for lunch in the cafeteria, and present their case with concrete proof of the responses, to the head departments of Food Services at central offices.
Also the idea of students working on a project together and everyone contributing from their homes when they can not physically get together to finish it. They can participate and create their projects and know who is working on what part of it. As a teacher to be fair, we could watch the way they work with each other and who is doing their part and who falls short on the part. The possibilities are endless with all the assignments we can share with students. Creating assignments online and having them graded with immediate results is a possibility I am looking forward to looking into. The students will be engaged because they love the technology aspect of doing homework online. Also being in contact with parents and being able to share some of the information the students are working on will be a benefit with getting them involved in the classroom. Students can create brochures with all the font features plus import pictures and release their creativity aspect of their personalities. Students class information presentations can have a new aspect with the way they are developed and presented with the slides to include colorful pictures and much more. Powerpoint's will be more interesting and powerful when the students learn to use all these tools. And best of all these application are easy to learn so they will be creating spectacular assignments in no time at all!!
Hello Bertha,
ReplyDeleteIn today's society all of our students have different situations regarding the methods of transportation available for them, but they mostly all have one thing in common: the possession of a cell phone and/or computer device. Your idea of using google drive to have students work on a project together is a great one! Even though students may not "physically" be able to meet together to work, they will still be able to work together by accessing google drive on their phones or computer devices; with those students who do not possess either being able to use their public library or school library. A major emphasis in the educational sphere for students right now is "collaboration", and your idea to use google drives to provide students with an opportunity to do so is an excellent idea! Thank you!
Hola Bertha; I believed that Google Drive is a great tool that help you and the students to get all the skills they need, However, I think that everybody has a great opportunity to achieve the technology in todays world. I like the Google Drive very much and planning to use it in my future life and education too. Wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteHi Bertha,
ReplyDeleteThe surveys are great. I created one that I will actually use with teachers which will give me information about their knowledge and thoughts about technology in the classroom. Many times it's easier to receive feedback from the teachers via e-mail than it is face to face. I really enjoyed the way the survey information is available to me. The graphs were very impressive. Thank you for your insight.

Bertha,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your ideas for how you would implement Google Drive in the educational setting. I agree that the video tutorials for this week were extremely informative. I feel like a true expert when it comes to Google Drive. I was unaware of all of the capabilities of Google Drive, which makes the possibilities endless for both teachers and students. Thank you for a wonderful post! :o)
All the best. :o)
